QuickStrokes [Hnc, Inc.]

QuickStrokes is an automated recognition-enhanced data entry system toincrease data throughput and reduce cost. This high-volume formsprocessing technology is able to recognize both handprinted and machine-generated characters and perform all recognition processing from scanned-in images. Areas of the form to be read are defined by using a mouse andmenus. Skewed, scaled, shifted, and poor-quality images are accommodated.Results are displayed and can be color-coded to indicate the systems'confidence level. A single keystroke enters corrected data.QuickStrokes API contains a library of callable functions designedspecifically for systems integrators, VARs, and OEMs, to facilitateintegration into larger data entry and processing systems. Performancefor both QuickStrokes and Quickstrokes API is accelerated by HNC's Balboaco-processor.
